2 1/2 hours of my life

It started at 1:45 p.m. - heading to the school to pick up one of the three children in orthodonture. By the time all is said and done and I return home it would be 4:15 p.m. - 2 1/2 hours of my life gone!

It made me wonder how many hours I have spent sitting in the orthodontist's office. If you calculate my 26 visits last year and estimate about 1 1/2 hours each ( a very conservative estimate ) this would come to around 39 hours. In a way it feels like more. What would I have done with those 30 hours? It's hard to say. All I know is I've read a lot of magainzes.

What?

Just one of life's contradictions. Purchasing an anti static dryer product (not to name name's but it rhymes with "ounce") I began reading the box. We had wondered if the suspicious spots that had appeared on clothing might have come from our dryer sheets. In reading the box, perhaps it is since it clearly states "avoid direct contact with fabric". What?!

Early Morning Surprise

As mentioned before, we have a dog. This means every morning I can look forward to a robust walk. Our morning walks have been inching later and later - mainly due to my early morning fatigue.

This morning I woke up feeling rested! A new and wonderful sensation and so our walk began about a half hour earlier. Who knew what a diffence a half hour can make. As we started off across the street I spotted someone else walking with their dogs (two off leash - hmmmmm). They were at a stop, so I decided to head the other way - but first I glanced to see why they were stopped. That's when I got my surprise. Deer! Not just one or two, but four deer out for a morning stroll. It made me smile and become even more content in my morning walk.

It's moments like these that I also say to myself - I'm not in San Diego anymore!
